SESSION 7 EXECUTION REPORT (2026-09-06, docuclear bootstrap): Coder reports rebase onto upstream c0b6f3e5 (3/3 clean), two deploys (8 workers then 7 after gatekeeper drop), seed acceptance 7/7, R2 6 objects/235kB, git-store validated, GATEKEEPER_CUSTOM removed from configs/tests/docs with code retained as history, old docuclear-gatekeeper worker @48d36e9c left orphaned with DO data + SPHERE_TOKEN (never deleted per directive), Artifacts recorded-not-enabled, run record runs/bootstrap/2026-09-06-docucleardev.md claimed committed+pushed (81be928..ca28fc8). VERIFICATION GAP: as of 2026-09-06 ~6pm BST, ca28fc8 and runs/bootstrap are NOT visible on GitHub DevmanMikey/dc-glassagent (branches: main@93f14dfd Aug 11, gatekeeper-sphere@1252d41b Sep 3); no default-branch commits anywhere since Sep 5. Push destination unconfirmed. Open next actions: /admin ambient toggle + allow/deny, picker + MiMo probe, schedules, portal grants (needs Mike's Access identity), orphan fate call, Node >=24.19.0, file ingestion parked. Phase 2 from Sep 4 still open (sphere write caching/simulation, getAgentCatalog, auto-approval for sphere.capture, legacy KV/R2 quarantine decommission).

[Update Sep 6, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-06 ~6:25pm: Run record 2026-09-06-docucleardev.md reviewed in full. Verification gap RESOLVED benignly: record states root main is 9 ahead of origin/main and UNPUSHED at time of writing; Next Action #1 is 'push ahead-commits (hygiene-approved, pending)'. The coder's chat summary claiming 'pushed (81be928..ca28fc8)' overstated this — record and GitHub state agree nothing was pushed. Commits to expect on push: abffbc1 (upgrade: gitlink+catalog+lockfile+UPSTREAM.md) and d716e92 (gatekeeper drop). Upstream rebase target c0b6f3e5 cross-verified as real cloudflare/cloudflare-os commit ('Add composer skill picker (#423)', Sep 4). Deploy version IDs in summary match record exactly. Open: push pending; orphan fate + backup-pre-rebase-582d747 cleanup; Node >=24.19.0; operator-side browser checks (/admin ambient toggle, picker+MiMo probe, schedules, portal grants, Reporter).

[Update Sep 6, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-06 ~6:45pm: PUSH VERIFIED on docuclear-ai org. int_control main tip 227f97a6 (17:36) contains the full chain: abffbc1 upgrade, d716e92 gatekeeper drop, ca28fc8 session-7 record, session-8 addenda + submodule repoint commits. cloudflare-os-internal (PRIVATE, default branch feature/custom-opencode-go-provider) holds gitlink SHA 5bd8dd20 — fresh clones resolve. Local submodule remotes: origin=upstream (sync path), internal=private. EXPOSURE FINDING: commit 5bd8dd20 (opencode provider routing fix) is publicly reachable by SHA through the fork network — resolves on DevmanMikey/cloudflare-os AND cloudflare/cloudflare-os upstream (shared network object store). Deleting the public fork will NOT unpublish it; only GitHub Support can purge network objects. Diff audited via API: no secrets — placeholder IDs/tokens only; reveals provider slug custom-opencode-go, opencode.ai /zen/go/v1 path, MiMo v2.5 usage. Low sensitivity; accepted as public. Note second public fork exists: DevmanMikey/cloudflare-os-starter (Aug 19). Still open: fork deletion (hygiene), Node >=24.19.0, operator browser checks (/admin ambient toggle, picker+MiMo probe, schedules, portal grants, Reporter), orphan gatekeeper fate.

[Update Sep 6, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-06 ~6:50pm: Public fork cleanup CONFIRMED — no cloudflare-os* repos remain under DevmanMikey (both the cloudflare-os fork and cloudflare-os-starter are gone from search/API). As predicted, commit 5bd8dd20 still resolves on cloudflare/cloudflare-os via the shared fork-network object store — treated as permanently public (low sensitivity, accepted). Session 7 thread fully closed: upgrade deployed + verified, gatekeeper dropped/orphaned, superproject + submodule pushed privately to docuclear-ai org, forks cleaned. Remaining open items: Node >=24.19.0, operator browser checks (/admin ambient toggle, picker + MiMo probe, schedules, portal grants, Reporter), orphan gatekeeper fate, backup-pre-rebase-582d747 cleanup (local), parked: file ingestion, legacy namespace decommission, Phase-2 Sphere work.

[Update Sep 6, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-06 ~7:45pm: Session 9 operator live verification updates Session 7 outstanding tasks. Admin is clean (custom Sphere options gone), but an existing workspace still has the old Sphere connection; remove it from workspace-level Connections/gadget bindings, then re-check getAgentCatalog. MiMo v2.5 appears in picker and responds — verified. New workspaces receive scheduler ambient correctly; existing workspace has SCHEDULEDTASKS misconnected to MikeSphere MCP (19 Sphere tools, no scheduler tools), so remove that MCP connection; not a deployment fault. Internal and external portals available — verified. Git features remain open: connect GitHub gatekeeper OAuth, mount a repo as a worktree, read/edit/grep, commit, push branch, open PR. Orphan fate chosen: preserve data, remove from gatekeepers; final teardown/secret handling still needs execution. Node upgrade completed to v24.20.0 via nvm; pnpm 11.17.0 and pnpm check exit 0 verified, with a machine-specific pnpm spawn shim workaround documented. File ingestion remains parked. Session 7 task list should now be replaced by: old-workspace Sphere cleanup + catalog recheck; remove misconnected MCP scheduler connection; Git worktree/PR dogfood test; execute orphan preserve-data/remove-from-gatekeepers decision; then confirm cleanup and begin file-ingestion design.

[Update Sep 6, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-06 ~8:05pm — ORPHAN DISCOVERY: Session 10's appended run-log section reports that env.SPHERE remains live with 235 vendor Sphere entries in a brand-new workspace even after portals disabled, zero vendors, and /admin clean. Code search found zero post-drop custom-gatekeeper/SPHERE references in starter or upstream workshop; only retired packages/custom-gatekeeper references the vendor URL. The likely mechanism is now identified in the codebase: Mike's User DO retains an ambient Sphere account/durable stub to the still-running unbound docuclear-gatekeeper worker; durable stubs survive binding removal and are folded into every workspace's chat bindings. Thus the orphan is not cold archive: it is a live unlisted dependency. The prior decision 'preserve data + remove from gatekeepers' is insufficient/ambiguous. Explicit choice required: (A) keep it serving and record/monitor it as a supported legacy ambient service, or (B) cut it by deleting the orphan Worker AND purging the ambient account from the User DO; deleting only the Worker leaves a broken stub/ghost catalog entry. Recommendation: do not sit in the middle state; choose A or B deliberately. Separate finding: env.SPHERE is not the deleted admin/gatekeeper topology path; it is the durable User-DO ambient path. Session 7 outstanding orphan task updated to this explicit fate decision + safe removal procedure if B.

[Update Sep 6, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-06 ~8:10pm — UPSTREAM BUG CHARACTERISATION: The ambient-Sphere-via-orphan behaviour is an upstream design flaw, not a local misconfiguration. Upstream's User DO stores ambient accounts and durable stubs that survive binding removal and are folded into every workspace's chat bindings (prepareChatBindings, alwaysAvailableCapsuleIds, getGatekeeperFacet patterns). Dropping the Worker from the deployment topology removes discoverability but not the stored per-user capability. This is the bug: durable ambient stubs outlive the vendor binding and are not cleaned up when the vendor is removed. Our fix path is: (1) purge the ambient Sphere account/stub from the User DO, (2) verify catalog clean in new and existing workspaces, (3) then delete/disable the orphan Worker. Record this as an upstream bug + our mitigation recipe. ORPHAN FATE DECISION: CUT IT — operator approved. Proceed with the safe removal procedure above.

[Update Sep 6, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-06 ~8:35pm — CODER PROPOSED SAFE REMOVAL PATH: Dashboard path is blocked (Data Studio SQLITE_AUTH on _cf_KV, plus 5 unlabeled User-DO instances → cannot identify which is ours). Code review shows disconnectAccount API allows removal when vendor is not mode=enabled (ours is unlisted → optional), and UI wires proper cleanup (revoke + row delete + nav refresh). Recommended sequence: (1) temporarily restore the custom gatekeeper worker (revert the drop, deploy), (2) disconnect the Sphere account from the Gatekeepers page like any normal account, (3) drop again and redeploy. Three deploys instead of one, zero hand-surgery, step 2 visibly confirms the purge before the worker goes away for good. Awaiting operator approval for two extra production deploys; alternative is to accept ghost entry + worker-delete as good enough and record the residual honestly.

[Update Sep 6, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-06 ~9:10pm — ORPHAN CUT COMPLETE: Supported reverse sequence executed: custom gatekeeper temporarily restored, Sphere account disconnected through the Gatekeepers UI (proper revoke + row deletion path), then custom gatekeeper dropped again and production redeployed. Final state: Sphere disconnected; docuclear-gatekeeper worker removed; no hand-surgery/Data Studio mutation. This closes the upstream durable-ambient-stub incident and supersedes the prior 'preserve data + remove from gatekeepers' ambiguous state. Next verification should test both existing and brand-new workspaces: env.SPHERE absent/non-callable, catalog clean, /admin clean; confirm SPHERE_TOKEN/worker identity fate and record deployment IDs. Remaining independent task: Git worktree/PR dogfood; file ingestion remains parked.

[Update Sep 6, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-06 ~9:20pm — UPSTREAM ISSUE FILED: cloudflare/cloudflare-os#458 reports the durable-ambient-stub bug discovered in this incident. The issue documents that deleting a gatekeeper binding leaves a live durable ambient capability via the User DO, requiring the restore→disconnect→drop workaround. Link recorded here for traceability; the local incident is closed.

[Update Sep 6, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-06 ~9:20pm — INCIDENT FULLY CLOSED: Session 10 close-out now records restore→disconnect→re-drop completed, then orphan Worker `docuclear-gatekeeper` deleted via `wrangler delete` (dry-run clean/no dependents; deletion confirmed). `SPHERE_TOKEN` died with the Worker; operator confirmed token handling and no remaining references. Fresh-workspace catalog contains only `env.CONTEXT` and `env.SCHEDULER`; `env.SPHERE` absent, ghost closed. Upstream issue cloudflare/cloudflare-os#458 filed. SCHEDULER hook entrypoint remains unconnected as a minor separate workspace configuration item. Overall outcome VERIFIED: Sessions 7–10 complete. Remaining parked/open work: Git worktree/PR dogfood, file ingestion, express variant, certificates, provider-quality session.

[Update Sep 6, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-07 00:45 BST — GIT WORKTREE DOGFOOD COMPLETE: operator reports the Git worktree run completed. This closes the final Session 7/10 platform-validation task. Session 10 outcome now: upgrade/rebase/deploy verified; Sphere account disconnected through supported restore→disconnect→drop path; orphan worker deleted; SPHERE_TOKEN handled; fresh workspace catalog clean (env.CONTEXT + env.SCHEDULER only); upstream issue #458 filed; Git worktree/PR dogfood complete. Remaining work is parked/design backlog: file ingestion, express routing variant, certificates, provider-quality session, and minor scheduler-hook connection configuration.

[Update Sep 6, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-07 00:55 BST — CODER FRAMING FOR FILE-INGESTION SESSION (CONNECTOR LORE MEMORY): Coder proposes recording the following as the opening position for the file-ingestion design session: (1) Context-as-is cannot store experiential heuristics because it has no agent write path; read-only memory cannot accumulate learnings like '~N ids look fake — don't retry creates' or 'push() returning void tells you nothing'. (2) Split the problem: stable API facts (method names, arg shapes, cursor protocol) should be served proactively by the platform when a binding appears — that's an upstream fix, not memory. Experiential heuristics (quirks, failure modes, model-specific needs) belong in governed agent writes on the extended Context store, with Session 5 shape: caller-classified entries, volatility (quirks go stale on vendor rev), evidence refs, and a getBrief()-style grounding read when the connector appears. Tonight's 5-cause analysis is the first entry such a store should hold. (3) This matches Session 6 architecture: connector lore is working memory about the office's own equipment; the workspace memory gadget from the Session 5 acceptance pack is this thing. (4) Sequence: file-ingestion design will need tool-lore storage too (ingest APIs have the same undiscoverability profile as the GitHub binding). Frame connector usage memory as a first-class requirement of the file-ingestion session, seeded with tonight's entry — dogfooding from day one. Request: record this framing as the opening position for the file-ingestion session.

[Update Sep 7, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-07 ~1:15am BST — FILE INGESTION DESIGN SESSION 12 IN: scope, connector-lore schema, seeds, and acceptance pack recorded and pushed. Root 96b70c0 equals origin/main; worktree clean; submodule gitlink 5bd8dd20 resolved. Design scope: ingestUrl single-page URL intake; bounded crawl startCrawl/getCrawlStatus/cancelCrawl/ingestCrawl with staged two-phase commit; read-only list/get/health/status. Explicitly out: multipart upload/native PDF-office extraction, scheduled crawls, vectorization control, credentialed crawling, raw fetch, broad binary support. Shared per-page boundary: text/Markdown, 1MB cap, clean oversized/binary/symlink/submodule handling, no silent truncation. Connector lore is first-class: instruction-kind entries where contract permits, otherwise semantic + lore tag; caller-classified, volatility, evidence refs, getBrief grounding, stable API facts served proactively by platform. Ambiguities recorded (contract §8 not live-readable; upload extraction may be sibling AgentSphere surface). Acceptance pack and prior-art rules recorded. Remaining follow-ups: ratify against MINI_SPHERE_CONTRACT §8 when accessible, confirm sibling upload-surface boundary, implement/build the ingestion gadget/gatekeeper, and resolve scheduler hook connection.

[Update Sep 7, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-07 ~1:35am BST — CHAT ATTACHMENT INVESTIGATION IN (Session 13): Current deployment accepts arbitrary files in picker, but backend support is provider-gated. Native Workers AI + custom-opencode-go roster accepts text/images only; PDF is rejected with 'Unsupported file type', failed tile + error toast, send blocked until removal. Anthropic/OpenAI/Gemini configs can accept PDF, but that is BYOK/provider territory. Images are resized (max edge 1568px, rechecked at 1MB); non-images max 1MB; max 5 attachments and combined 5MB. Text-like allowlist: text/plain, JSON, JS, TS, XML, YAML, CSV, Markdown; image JPEG/PNG/WebP magic-checked; PDF magic-checked only for capable providers. No Office MIME/signature support and no parsing/extraction in this path. No silent failure or unvalidated bytes reach model. Recommended delta to ingestion: parse PDF/Office before staging so extracted text becomes provider-independent; add OOXML/OLE MIME + magic signatures; decide input/output extraction caps and errors; retain accept-all picker + backend verdict; route attachment-derived memories through validating writer/lore rules; keep 24h staged sweep. Two 1MB constants frontend/backend currently equal but drift-prone. Research-only, code-verified, no live browser reproduction.

[Update Sep 7, 2026]: UPDATE 2026-09-07 ~1:50am BST — SESSION 14 INGESTION DESIGN CHECKED AGAINST CHAT-ATTACHMENT WORK LIST: Design adopts the existing CuratorAgent/xberg-crawl service as a new `gatekeeper-ingestion` backend rather than parsing in Workshop. It closes the work-list items: (1) provider-independent extraction before staging; (2) PDF/OOXML/OLE/ODF/RTF MIME+magic routing table; (3) explicit bounds: client non-image 1MB, service 50MB, 60MB request pre-check/100MB URL guard; output bounds remain builder-pinned; (4) accept-all picker retained, backend verdict authoritative; (5) extracted PDF/Office replays as text/Markdown so unknown-model marker no longer applies; (6) attachment-derived memories use normal validating writer, caller classification, claimTag/evidence refs, follows chains; (7) existing 24h staged sweep retained; (8) single-source MAXCHATATTACHMENTBYTES 1MB moved to shared API to eliminate frontend/backend drift. Additional design closes service errors: idempotent retry/poll, named 501 OCR-not-implemented, 503 retry, 429 concurrency, 402 plan gate, encrypted/unsupported input errors, lot/characteristic quality-gate mapping, metering usageBytesIn/Out/durationMs. Still open: operator rule for source-retention (discard vs customer DOCUMENTS R2), stable X-Sphere-Slug scheme, output cap pinning, ratify against contract §8; no code/deploy yet. xberg remains extraction backend; AI Search remains excluded for EU residency.
